GENEVA – Royal J. Goodwin, 81, of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Bradenton, FL. There will be a celebration of his life at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the White Springs Rd. Fire Department, County Rd. #6, Geneva, NY. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the White Springs Rd. Fire Department. Royal was born in Rochester, NY and has been a resident of Geneva for many years. He was the son of the late Roy and Anna Seltenrich Goodwin. He was formerly employed with Stromberg Carlson, Executone and Royal Phone Inc. He was a member and treasurer of the White Springs Rd. Fire Department, and a former treasurer of the Geneva Rod & Gun Club. Royal served as a Town Councilman and was on the Town of Geneva Planning Board. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Bonnie (William) Pealer and Julet (Gary) Dinan both of Geneva; his son, Roy (Pamela) Goodwin of Walworth; six grandchildren: Dustin and Jamie Jones, Matthew, Brian and Ethan Dinan, and Austin Goodwin; sister-in-law, Marian Vandenberg; brothers-in-law: William (Margaret) Van Hall and Jacob ( Henny) Van Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
