STANLEY - Raymond V. Lahr, 82, of Little Church Rd., passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011, in Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 9 -11 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Ontario ARC. Raymond was born in Waterloo, NY and has been a lifelong resident of the Geneva area. He was the son of the late Gordon and Charlotte Vanderbilt Lahr. Ray was retired from the NY Telephone Co. and served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was involved with the Ontario Co. ARC, was a member of the Finger Lakes Chorale, The Telephone Pioneer's and a former member of the Winnek Post # 396 American Legion and VFW Post # 2670. He is survived by his children: Stephen (Theresa) Lahr, Gary (Anne) Lahr both of Waterloo; Eric (Tanya) Lahr of Valatie, NY; Brian (Kathleen) Lahr of San Diego CA; Lawrence and Gerald Lahr both of Stanley; and Laureen (Mark) Antinelli of Baldwinsville; and eight Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife: Rose in 1987.
