GENEVA – Mrs. Patricia Colizzi, 80, of Earls Hill Rd., passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. A prayer service will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Patty was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Rocco and Ruth Constable Iannapollo. She was a graduate of DeSales High School, attended Fredonia College, and graduated from Empire State College. She taught at St. Francis - St. Stephen School for over 40 years and was the organist for Our Lady of Peace Parish from the time she was thirteen until she retired. She was an avid golfer and musician where she played the piano, the organ and the harp. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She is survived by her loving husband, Albert; her daughter, Karen Noonan of Geneva; her sons, James (Deborah) Colizzi of Penn Yan and Christopher (Rebecca) Colizzi of Geneva; three grandchildren: Katie Bay, Michael Colizzi and Anna Sheppard; two great-grandchildren, Annabella and Aubrey; two brothers, Rocco Iannapollo of Geneva and Robert (Donna) Iannapollo of Rochester; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Iannapollo and her son-in-law, John Noonan. The family would like to thank the caregivers who took wonderful care of Patty: Kelly, Tiffany, Sue, Heather, Patty, Karen, Amoureen, and Karen Stircker from Ontario Yates Hospice. Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to the St. Francis - St. Stephen School Education Fund or to Ontario Yates Hospice.
