GENEVA – Lillian L. Lofton, 65 of Geneva passed away unexpectedly in her home on Sunday, April 10, 2016. Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4-6 p.m. Lillian was born in Brooklyn, NY and has resided in Geneva for several years. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Arlene Brownel Lofton. She loved watching her classic TV shows, was a free spirit and loved everyone. She is survived by her two sons, Derrick Lofton and Jamel Lofton - both of Geneva; mother-in-law Gwendolyn Johnson, two sister-in-laws Jacqueline Johnson and Evaninia Johnson; ten grandchildren: Derrick , Jytier, Triniaysha, Latrell, Nakira, Lamel, Terrean, Quinton, Akira, Lillian; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a longtime friend/father figure/uncle, Mr. David Cartwright. She was predeceased by her husband, James Strickland and her sister-in-law, Princetta Barnes.
