GENEVA- Howard Lloyd Hilimire, of New Port Rickey, FL and formerly of Geneva, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center Florida. There will be no prior calling hours. Members of Ark Lodge #33 F.& A.M. will hold a masonic service on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 520 S. Main St., Geneva with a funeral service immediately to follow. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in his memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104-2396. Lloyd was born in Waterloo, NY on July 14, 1923, the son of the late Howard and Edna Bennett Hilimire. He had been a resident of Waterloo, Geneva all his life until moving to Florida in 2011. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II in the South Pacific. In 1947 Lloyd and his brother Richard, founded Ace Automatics Inc. in Geneva and expanded into Coin Automatic in Geneva, Manhill Vending in Seneca Falls and Stanton Automatics in Auburn. Lloyd also owned Seneca Wholesale, Italy Valley Ice Company, and Valley Coffee and Water Company. Lloyd was active in many organizations. He was a life member of C.J. Folger Hook & Ladder Co. of the Geneva Fire Department, a life member of Geneva Country Club where he was an avid golfer, and he belonged to the Ark Lodge # 33 F. & A. M., Shrine Club, Damascus Temple, V.F.W. Post #2670, and Winnek Post #396 American Legion. He was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Geneva and Penn Yan Flying Club where he enjoyed flying his planes. He is survived by his wife, Ann Hilimire of FL; two sons James (Stacie) Hilimire of Branchport and Lloyd Jr. of FL; his daughter, Sandra (Gale) Sheradin of Walton, NY; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Nancy, and his brother Richard.
