GENEVA- Herman G. Frahs, 92, died on Thursday, April 9 at Geneva General Hospital. There will be a private burial service at St. Mary’s cemetery at the convenience of the family. Herman was born in Askov, Minnesota and grew up in the Rochester/Pittsford area. He served in WWII in the 8th Air Force B-17 100th” Bomb Group, flying 31 missions over Germany and France. After his military service he worked for Loblaws in Geneva and later the P&C stores as a meat-cutter. In his retirement Herman was fond of music, was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing chef for his family. Nothing was more pleasurable to him than having his family together around a big meal. Herman was much beloved by his family and those who knew him for his humor and generous spirit. He will be sorely missed. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Clara (Hefferon) Frahs; six children: Mary Jo Pace, Eileen Frahs, Paul Frahs, Thomas Frahs, Martha Frahs, and Susan Frahs; nine grandchildren.
