GENEVA - Charles J. McCormack 83 of Bennett St., Geneva, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the Homestead in Penn Yan. There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services and Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, Oaks Corners will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Homestead 418 N. Main ST., Penn Yan or to a charity of one's choice. Charles was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Richard and Maude Everill McCormack. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was formerly employed at the American Can Co. and retired from the Geneva School District. He was a member of Winnek Post # 396 American Legion, V. F. W. Post # 2670and was a former member of the Geneva Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Richard McCormack of Wichita Falls, TX, Deborah of TX and Patricia of TX, their two grandchildren; Tracy Loucks of Shortsville, Tammy Waite of Shortsville, Larry Waite of Clifton Springs, Dan (Kim) Waite of Middleton, Ohio, and Randy (Julie) Waite of Palmyra. His sister, Helen Coomber of Fairport; Ten Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Four brothers and five sisters.
