GENEVA – Betty Ann Wheeler, 62, of Farmington, formerly of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva, on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Captain Jim Brennan of the Salvation Army in Canandaigua will officiate. Burial will be in Joslyn Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to charity of one’s choice. Betty was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Mitchell. She attended the Salvation Army in Canandaigua. She is survived by her son, Bernard Wheeler of S. C., her daughter, Rebecca (Bryan) Moses of AL; two brothers: Karl Mitchell of Gorham and George Mitchell of Albany; four sisters: Ruth Van Koughnet of Geneva, Shirley Kemp of NH, Esther Paine of Farmington, and Donna Bryan of Farmington; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
