GENEVA - Arthur J. Rapini 92 of Reed St. passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013. Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva on Friday, August 2, 2013, from 4- 8 p.m. Members of the Winnek Post #396 American Legion will meet at 6 p.m. for a service for their departed brother and member of VFW Post #2670 will meet at 6:15 p.m. for a service for their departed brother. Funeral Services will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in the funeral home and at 9:30 am in St. Francis de Sales Church. Burial with full military honors will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Beverly Animal Shelter, Waterloo, NY 13165. Arthur was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Louis and Elena Caetini Rapini. He served his country in both World War II and the Korean War in the US Air Force. Art owned and operated the Castle Grille for over 37 years. He was retired from the Finger Lakes Times were he delivered newspapers for several years. Art was a member of Winnek Post #396 American Legion, the VFW Post #2670 and the Last Mans Club at the VFW. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Linda; his sons: Cary (Norma) Rapini of Fairport, Artie (Suzanne) Rapini of Windsor, Canada; Mark (Mona) Rapini of Vermont; Duane (Sharon) Rapini of Fl; Jeffrey (Molly) Rapini of CA; Brett (Kim) Rapini of Waterloo; his daughters: Judith (Lee) Fancett of Canandaigua and Heather (Joe Colon) Rapini of Waterloo. His sisters: Susan Trotta and Nancy (Edward) Smaldone both of Geneva; Fourteen grandchildren, and Two great grandchildren and Several Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers: Tony, Joseph and Angelo Rapini.
