GENEVA – Arlene B. DeBolt, 94, of Geneva passed away peacefully at the Keuka Comfort Care Home in Penn Yan on Thursday, September 29, 2016. There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church in Geneva. The Rev. Deborah Lind Schmitz, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Geneva, 24 Park Place, Geneva, NY or to the Keuka Comfort Care Home, P. B. Box 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Arlene was born in Waterloo, NY and has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Marion Stone Balliett. She was active in several community organizations including the Center of Concern Food Pantry, American Red Cross Blood Mobile, Mobile Meals, The Linden Shop, was a Docent at Rose Hill Mansion, a receptionist at Geneva General Hospital for over 30 years, and was a member for over 73 years at the Presbyterian Church in Geneva where she also served as a Deacon of the Church, and was treasurer of the Presbyterian Women’s Association. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (John) Fouracre of Geneva; her sons, Donald (Jacqueline) DeBolt of Penn Yan and Steven (Barbara) DeBolt of Geneva; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jackson DeBolt; her sons, Jackson and Mark; and her sisters, Esther Hamling and Ruth Neilsen. The family wish to thank the staffs of Seneca Lake Terrace and Keuka Comfort Care, and especially Dr. Mark Ryan for their conscientious and compassionate care of our mother. Her honorary pallbearers will be: Elizabeth Ellison, Douglas Fouracre, Jackson H. DeBolt, Emily Danese, Aaron DeBolt, Keith DeBolt, Chelsea DeBolt and Jordan DeBolt.
