Antoinette L. Welcher

GENEVA – Antoinette L. Welcher, 88, of Garden St. passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 in her home. There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2016 in St. Francis de Sales Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Ontario Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456 or to Our Lady of Peace Parish. Antoinette was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Cinceri Ferugia. She was well known for her baking especially her Italian Cookie Cakes for parties and her door was always open for her family and friends to visit. She enjoyed crafts and sewing and was known for her outfits for her grandchildren and for making doll clothing without a pattern. She hosted the Clinton St. Horseshoe tournament for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She is survived by her son, Clinton (Cindy) Welcher of Geneva; her daughters: Gloria Dougherty of Geneva, Carole (Rob) Gilles of Geneva and Jamie (Bob) DeBolt of Waterloo; her brother, Sam (Lou) Ferugia of Geneva and her sister, Barbara (Ross) Joslyn of Geneva; grandchildren: Tammy (Jeff) Brei, JayPaul (Erin) Dougherty, Kelly (Jeff) Mazza, Chad (Kate) DeBolt, Bryan Welcher, Patrick DeBolt, Robert A. Gilles, Mariah DeBolt and Taylor DeBolt; great-grandchildren: Avery Brei, T. J. Brei, Trevor Dougherty, Brendan Dougherty, Chloe Mazza, Carter Mazza, Drew DeBolt and Trey DeBolt; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clinton Welcher, her daughter, Donna Marie Welcher, and her brothers and sisters: Philip, Mary, Francis, Josie, Rosie Chucky and Ray.
